Reason For Being
One of the seemingly never-ending challenges our sport faces is caution-flagging at all levels. Whether it’s an open practice at a popular local track or the FIM Motocross of Nations, ours is an imperfect system for warning competitors that there is trouble ahead. It’s a concern every time there is more than a single rider on the track, more so in outdoor motocross than supercross, given the comparative size of the tracks, the speeds at which the riders go, the elevation changes, obstructive viewing, and the simple fact that there are usually twice as many bikes out there at any given time.
